"Gauderfest" in Zell

If you travel to the Zillertal in spring, you have the opportunity to experience nature in a special way as it awakens.

While the last snow still glistens in the sun on the mountains, spring is already being celebrated in the valley at Tyrol's largest spring festival. A spectacular program is offered for the Gauderfest in Zell in Zillertal every year at the beginning of May. A beer brewed specially for this festival, the "Gauderbock", from the Zillertal Brauerei in Zell am Ziller is ceremonially tapped at the official opening of the festival. The following days consist of cheerful gatherings just as this festival has always been celebrated according to decades-long tradition.

Come party with us at the Gauderfest with folk music, animal markets, multi-sport events, and of course Austria's largest folkwear procession with traditional floats and carriages. Our house is located right in the center of Zell am Ziller on a side road. The festival grounds are only ca. 200 meters away.
